Cycle Patrols

Good Afternoon Residents,

Today, our team conducted another proactive cycle patrol in the local area, accompanied by PCSO Pang from the East Acton Safer Neighbourhood Team. These joint patrols form part of our ongoing efforts to work collaboratively across ward boundaries and provide high-visibility reassurance to our communities.

Throughout the day, we focused our attention on several local hotspot areas, addressing concerns previously raised by residents and targeting areas known for anti-social behaviour and other community issues. As part of our duties, we also carried out further Metropolitan Police engagement, speaking with members of the public and listening to feedback about local policing matters.

We were pleased to have several positive conversations with residents in the Southfield area. Community engagement is a vital part of our work, and we always appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with those we serve.

During the course of the patrol, officers attempted an arrest enquiry for a male currently wanted by police. While the enquiry was unfortunately negative at this stage, further investigative steps will be taken as we continue efforts to locate and arrest the individual.

In addition, officers responded to a call regarding an attempted theft in the area. Using our cycles, we were able to conduct a swift area search, demonstrating the practical advantage of bicycle patrols, which allow us to cover more ground quickly and effectively compared to foot patrols.
